Gastric sleeve, bypass and endoscopic options with one board-certified bariatric surgeon, surgery dates often open within the month, and an office a short drive from Westchester.

These are our own patients, photographed before surgery and again after months of follow-up with Dr. K.
Each one followed a plan built around their starting weight, health conditions and daily routine. Weight comes off fastest in the early months, and the habits built during follow-up visits are what keep it off.

134 pounds down: one patient's change in energy, health and confidence.
A day with Dr. K: seeing patients and performing laparoscopic weight loss surgery.
Bariatric surgery makes the stomach smaller or reroutes digestion, so meals end sooner and appetite quiets down.
We perform these operations laparoscopically, through a few small incisions while Dr. K works from a camera feed, and we also offer endoscopic procedures done through the mouth. The operation changes how much you can eat. The nutrition plan and visits that follow decide how well the result holds.
Many Westchester patients ask whether an injection can replace surgery. Here is how each option we offer works and when it tends to fit.
| Option | How it works | Often chosen when |
|---|---|---|
| Medical Weight Loss | A physician-supervised plan built on GLP-1 injections, nutrition coaching and regular check-ins. | You want to start without a procedure, or you need support before or after surgery. |
| Gastric Sleeve | A laparoscopic operation that reshapes the stomach into a slim tube, so portions shrink and hunger eases. | You have significant weight to lose and want one durable operation. An expedited path is available. |
| Low BMI Gastric Sleeve | Our "Mini Sleeve" adapts the sleeve technique for patients with less weight to lose. | Diet and medication have stalled, but you sit below typical surgical criteria. |
| Gastric Bypass | A small stomach pouch is joined straight to the small intestine, so food skips part of the digestive tract. | Reflux, type 2 diabetes or a larger weight goal make rerouting the better fit. |
| Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG) | Stitches placed from inside the stomach through an endoscope fold it into a smaller shape. | You want restriction with no incisions on the abdomen. |
| ORBERA Gastric Balloon | A soft balloon placed endoscopically fills part of the stomach for a set period, then comes out. | You want a temporary, nonsurgical start to weight loss. |
Surgery suits adults, and some teens, whose weight is harming their health and who have not kept it off with diet, exercise or medication.
Your consultation settles the question. Dr. K looks at your history, past attempts and current medications before recommending anything, and sometimes that recommendation is a medical plan rather than an operation.

Board-certified bariatric surgeon, known to patients as Dr. K
Dr. K performs every procedure in the table above himself and oversees our medical weight loss program. Patients mention that he gives them his cell number, explains each step and checks on them at home after surgery. He also lives what he recommends, staying active and treating weight as long-term health rather than a single event.
Dr. K practices what he preaches: get outside and move.
Here is the path most of our gastric sleeve patients follow.
Dr. K reviews your health, goals and past attempts, then recommends a procedure or a medical plan. You leave knowing your next steps and your cost.
Medical clearances and an upper endoscopy, called an EGD, are required. Labs through our recommended doctor come back in about 48 hours, and an EGD from the past 5 months is accepted.
You follow a pre-surgery diet, and any GLP-1 injections stop at least 2 weeks before your date. Once testing is complete, surgery dates are often open within the same month.
Dr. K performs your procedure in the hospital, and for a gastric sleeve the hospital stay is part of your package price.
Most sleeve patients are back at work in 4 to 7 days and avoid lifting over 20 pounds while healing. Visits through your first year track progress and move you through the diet stages.

Our gastric sleeve has one package price, so you can compare it line by line with other Florida quotes.
The package covers the items that many quotes list separately. If Dr. K performs your pre-op endoscopy, the procedure itself is included and only a $750 hospital fee applies. Gastric bypass, ESG, the balloon and medical weight loss are priced after your consultation.
Financing is available through Cherry, and debit or credit cards cover any remaining balance.
Surgery plus a full year of follow-up care
Prices across Florida vary with the procedure and with what each quote leaves out. Our gastric sleeve package is $14,000 and covers the hospital stay, the surgeon's fee, all hospital-related fees and a year of follow-up visits. Other procedures are quoted after your consultation.
They work in different ways. GLP-1 medications such as Ozempic reduce appetite while you keep taking them, and a gastric sleeve physically makes the stomach smaller. Dr. K oversees GLP-1 treatment and performs the sleeve, so he can recommend medication, surgery or both based on your health and goals.
That depends on your starting weight, how closely you follow the diet stages and how active you are, so we do not promise a number. Weight usually comes off fastest in the first months after a sleeve. Your follow-up visits track your progress and adjust the plan if it slows.
Coverage depends on your insurance plan and its requirements, so check your policy directly. Our gastric sleeve has a published self-pay price of $14,000. Financing through Cherry offers up to 24 months at 0% interest.

Most gastric sleeve patients return to work 4 to 7 days after surgery. Avoid lifting more than 20 pounds while you heal. If your job is physical, Dr. K will tell you when heavier work is right for you.
