Gastric Sleeve
Most of the stomach is removed, leaving a narrow sleeve that holds far less food and makes less of the hormone that drives hunger. This is the procedure covered by our published package price.
Gastric sleeve details →Fellowship-trained surgeon Dr. Reza Keshavarzi plans your weight loss surgery, stays reachable on his own cell phone after you go home, and includes your first year of follow-up visits in our gastric sleeve package.

Each pair shows a patient of Dr. K before surgery and again after weight loss. Results vary with the procedure, the starting point and how closely the diet plan and follow-up are kept.
BeforeAfterBariatric surgery, 1 of 6
Bariatric surgery makes the stomach smaller and changes the hunger signals it sends, so patients feel full on small portions and lose weight that diets alone have not kept off. Dr. K performs every option below himself, so your recommendation follows your health history rather than the one procedure a surgeon happens to offer.

Gastric sleeve details →A sleeve option for patients with less weight to lose who have not reached their goal with diet, exercise or medication. Dr. K confirms at your consultation whether you qualify.
Low BMI sleeve details →A small stomach pouch is connected directly to the small intestine, which limits portions and changes how food is absorbed. It is often discussed for patients with severe reflux or type 2 diabetes.
Gastric bypass details →Sleeve surgery for adolescents ages 14 to 17 whose weight affects their health, with close follow-up through the months after surgery.
Teen sleeve details →ESG reshapes the stomach with sutures placed from the inside through an endoscope, with no external incisions. It suits patients who want a smaller stomach without surgery.
ESG details →A soft balloon is placed in the stomach endoscopically to take up space and limit portions, then removed later. It is the nonsurgical starting point for some patients.
Gastric balloon details →Many patients ask whether weight-loss injections can replace surgery. Dr. K prescribes GLP-1 medications through our medical weight loss program and performs surgery, so he can use either one, or both in sequence, without steering you toward one.

Rapid-Fire with Dr K: quick answers on Ozempic, bariatric surgery and eating after surgery.
Candidacy is decided at your consultation from your health history, past weight loss attempts and goals. Dr. K will also tell you when a nonsurgical option fits better than an operation.
Already on a GLP-1? You can still be a candidate. Plan to stop injections at least two weeks before your surgery date.
Our only office is in South Miami, so the plan is built to keep your trips south to the ones that matter.
Dr. K reviews your health and weight history, explains which procedures fit, and walks you through price and financing. Your first visit can be a virtual consultation, so you can decide before making the drive.
Medical clearances and an endoscopy (EGD) are required before surgery. You can complete them with our team or at a facility you choose nearer to Wellington, and an endoscopy done within the last five months is accepted.
You follow a pre-surgery diet, and any weight-loss injections stop at least two weeks ahead. Surgery dates are often open within the same month, and the pace depends on how quickly your tests come back.
Dr. K performs your minimally invasive procedure himself. With the gastric sleeve package, your hospital stay and every hospital-related fee are already covered.
Most patients return to work 4 to 7 days after surgery and avoid lifting more than 20 pounds while they heal. Questions go straight to Dr. K by phone or text, wherever you are recovering.
Follow-up appointments for the first year are part of the sleeve package. Our team adjusts your diet plan at each stage so the new habits hold.

Dr. Reza Keshavarzi, MD, FACS, FASMBSBariatric surgeon, known to patients as Dr. K

He earned his medical degree with High Distinction from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine after graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Louisville.

Patient transformations we have been proud to be part of, before and after.
We publish our gastric sleeve price so Wellington patients can plan before the first visit.
When Dr. K performs your endoscopy, it is included in the procedure cost, with a $750 hospital fee. Pricing for gastric bypass, ESG, the balloon and the low BMI sleeve is reviewed at your consultation. Cherry financing covers surgery, and debit or credit cards are accepted for any remaining balance.
Our office is at 7330 SW 62nd Pl, Suite 210, in South Miami. Patients from Wellington can start with a virtual consultation and complete much of their testing closer to home, then travel south for the visits that need to be in person and for surgery.
Yes. Medical clearances and an endoscopy (EGD) are required before surgery, and you can complete them with our team or at an outside facility you choose. An endoscopy performed within the last five months is accepted.
Surgery dates are often available within the current month. How quickly you are scheduled depends on how fast your required tests are completed, so finishing them early is the biggest factor you control.
Our gastric sleeve package is $14,000. It covers the hospital stay, the surgeon's fee, all hospital-related fees and follow-up appointments for the first year. Financing through Cherry offers 24 months at 0% interest, with monthly payments as low as $320.
Most patients return to work 4 to 7 days after their procedure. You should not lift anything heavier than 20 pounds while you heal, and Dr. K will tell you when that limit ends.
Yes. Weight-loss injections must be stopped at least two weeks before surgery. Dr. K will plan the timing with you at your consultation, and some patients use medication again later as part of their long-term plan.
That depends on your health history, how much weight you want to lose and what you have already tried. Dr. K performs gastric sleeve, low BMI sleeve, teen sleeve, gastric bypass, ESG and the ORBERA balloon, and also runs medical weight loss, so he can recommend the option that fits rather than the only one he offers.
Talk with Dr. K about which procedure fits, what it costs and how soon you could have a surgery date.
