A gastric sleeve, or sleeve gastrectomy, removes most of the stomach and leaves a narrow sleeve, so smaller meals fill you sooner and hunger usually drops. Dr. Keshavarzi performs it laparoscopically, through a few small incisions with a camera and fine instruments.

Our gastric sleeve package is $14,000. It includes your hospital stay, the surgeon's fee, hospital-related fees and follow-up appointments for the first year after surgery. Financing through Cherry offers 24 months at 0% interest, with monthly payments as low as $320.
It depends on your starting weight and how closely you follow the eating plan. Weight usually comes off fastest in the first months; one of our patients wrote in her Google review that she was 60 lbs down at 4 months post-op. Dr. K will talk through realistic goals for you at your consultation.

Yes. Medical clearances and an upper endoscopy (EGD) are required before surgery, and you can have them done with us or at an outside facility. An endoscopy performed within the last 5 months is accepted.
Yes. Weight loss injections must be stopped at least 2 weeks before your gastric sleeve. Tell Dr. K about every medication you take so he can plan your preparation with you.
Most of our patients return to work 4 to 7 days after the procedure. You should not lift anything heavier than 20 lbs during early recovery, so a physical job may need a longer break.
No. About 80 percent of the stomach is removed and cannot be put back, which is why the decision starts with a full consultation. If you want a procedure with no stomach removal, ask Dr. K about the endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty or the gastric balloon.
Talk with Dr. K about your goals and whether the gastric sleeve fits them.
