Yes, for the operation itself. Dr. K operates in Miami, and our office is in South Miami. Your medical clearances and upper endoscopy can be completed near Riverview, so your travel centers on surgery.
An upper endoscopy performed within the last five months is accepted. If yours is older, you can have a new one at a facility near Riverview or with Dr. K.
Surgery dates are often available within the current month. Your date depends mainly on how quickly your required tests are finished, and results from our recommended doctor come back within 48 hours.
Yes. Weight loss injections must be stopped at least two weeks before surgery. Dr. K reviews your current medications with you and plans the timing.
Most patients go back to work 4 to 7 days after the procedure. You should not lift more than 20 pounds while you heal. Follow-up visits through the first year are included in the sleeve package.
