Board-certified, fellowship-trained surgeon Dr. Reza Keshavarzi lets you handle the consultation, testing and preparation from home, so the drive to our South Miami office is saved for surgery itself.

Every pair is a patient of Dr. Keshavarzi. Results vary with starting weight, procedure and the habits built after surgery.
One patient's story: the doubts, the decision and the commitment a photo cannot show.
Bariatric surgery changes the size of the stomach, and with it the hunger signals that make diets hard to sustain. Most patients eat smaller meals, feel full sooner and lose weight steadily through the first year.
Dr. Keshavarzi performs surgical and nonsurgical procedures, so your recommendation follows your health history rather than the single operation a program happens to offer.
Most of the stomach is removed, leaving a slim tube that fills quickly. Dr. K's specialty, with an expedited option.

| Weight loss injections | Bariatric surgery | |
|---|---|---|
| How it works | Medication that lowers appetite and slows how fast the stomach empties | A smaller stomach that holds less food and sends fewer hunger signals |
| Commitment | Ongoing doses, managed with your provider | One procedure, followed by lifelong eating habits |
| Often a fit for | A nonsurgical start or a smaller amount to lose | More weight to lose or weight-related health conditions |
| Combined plans | Dr. K may pair medication with surgery when the combination serves your goals better than either alone. | |
