Bariatric surgery makes the stomach smaller, so you feel full sooner, eat less and lose weight that diets alone have not kept off.
Dr. Keshavarzi performs each surgical and endoscopic option below and oversees our medical weight loss program. Your plan follows your health history, weight and goals rather than one default operation.

Dr. Keshavarzi, known to patients as Dr. K, is the lead surgeon at Miami VIP Surgery and a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery. He earned his medical degree with High Distinction from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, completed his surgical residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital and trained in laparoscopic, bariatric and robotic surgery during his fellowship at Jackson South Medical Center.
Patients mention access more than anything else. Dr. K stays in touch by phone and text from his own cell, so a question from Bonita Springs reaches your surgeon rather than a call center.

Surgery takes place with Dr. K in Miami, across the state from Bonita Springs. Much of the preparation can happen closer to home.
You talk through your history, goals and options, and can begin with our Virtual Consultation before making the trip. You leave knowing which procedure fits, what preparation it needs and what it costs.
Every patient completes medical clearances and an upper endoscopy before surgery. These can be done with us or at a facility nearer Bonita Springs, and an endoscopy from the last five months is accepted.
A pre-surgery diet gets your body ready for the operation. Scheduling moves as fast as your test results come back, and an Expedited Gastric Sleeve path is available.
Dr. K performs your procedure. Before you head home, you know your diet stages and how to reach our team.
You recover in Bonita Springs with follow-up visits through your first year and a staged diet to guide each week.
Rapid-fire questions with Dr. K, filmed at our office.
We publish our gastric sleeve price so you can plan ahead. Other procedures are priced at your consultation.
Cherry financing can be used toward surgery, with debit or credit cards accepted for any remaining balance.
Dr. K's reminder for life after surgery: get outside and move.
Living across the state does not mean losing touch with your care team. Dr. K practices what he recommends, and staying active and eating well are part of his own routine.
Our diet plans walk you from the first weeks back to regular meals, and you can open them any time.
Our weight loss specialists build your plan around your procedure, habits and goals, and adjust it as you progress.
For patients who want a closer level of ongoing care, Concierge Medicine adds direct, continuing support.
No single number rules everyone in or out. Surgery may be delayed or ruled out if your medical clearances or endoscopy show a condition that needs treatment first, or if you are not ready for the pre-surgery diet and lasting changes to how you eat. Dr. K reviews your history and tells you plainly when another option fits you better.
There is no fixed timeline, including for a goal such as 50 pounds. The pace depends on your starting weight, the procedure and how closely you follow your diet plan, and loss is usually quickest in the first months. Dr. K sets realistic expectations for your case at your consultation.
Weight loss injections need to stop at least two weeks before surgery, and Dr. K plans that timing with you. Medical weight loss can still play a role after surgery if it helps you hold on to your progress.
Most patients return to work four to seven days after the procedure. Avoid lifting anything over 20 pounds until Dr. K clears you.
Coverage depends on your plan and its rules for weight loss surgery. Our team goes over your coverage questions at your consultation, together with the package price and financing through Cherry.
Bring your questions about procedures, preparation and cost, and leave with a plan built around your health.
