Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy with fellowship-trained bariatric surgeon Dr. Reza Keshavarzi, at one $14,000 package price that covers your hospital stay and a full year of follow-up visits.
Our office: 7330 SW 62nd Pl, Suite 210, South Miami, FL 33143

Sleeve gastrectomy patients of Dr. Keshavarzi. Results vary with your starting weight, health and habits.

BeforeAfterA sleeve gastrectomy removes about 80 percent of the stomach and leaves a narrow, banana-shaped tube. Dr. Keshavarzi performs it laparoscopically, through a few small incisions guided by a camera.
The new stomach holds far less, so you feel full after a few bites.
The removed section makes much of the hormone that drives appetite, so many patients feel less hungry.
Unlike a bypass, the intestine stays in place. Food follows its usual path through a smaller stomach.
Dr. Keshavarzi performs every procedure below, so his recommendation follows your health history, not a single specialty.
| Procedure | How it works | Approach | Often considered for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gastric Sleeve This page | Removes most of the stomach | Laparoscopic surgery | Substantial, lasting weight loss without rerouting |
| Gastric Bypass | Creates a small pouch and reroutes the intestine | Laparoscopic surgery | Severe acid reflux or a stronger metabolic effect |
| ESG | Stitches the stomach smaller from inside | Endoscopic, no incisions | A smaller stomach without surgery |
| Gastric Balloon | An ORBERA balloon fills part of the stomach for months | Endoscopic, temporary | A non-surgical start |

Dr. Keshavarzi, known to patients as Dr. K, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and our lead surgeon. He completed his surgical residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital and a fellowship in laparoscopic, bariatric and robotic surgery at Jackson South Medical Center.
He earned his medical degree with High Distinction from the University of Kentucky. Patients often mention he stays reachable by phone and text through recovery, which matters when you live a drive away.
Your visits with Dr. K are at our South Miami office. Much of the preparation can happen closer to home.
Dr. K reviews your history, recommends a procedure and covers pricing.
Medical clearances and an upper endoscopy can be done near you. An endoscopy from the last five months is accepted.
A required diet prepares you. Weight loss injections stop at least two weeks before surgery.
Your sleeve is performed in the hospital, and the stay is in your package.
Most patients return to work in 4 to 7 days. No lifting over 20 lbs while you heal.
Follow-up visits for the first year are included.

Rapid-fire questions with Dr. K.
Your consultation, surgery and follow-up visits are at our South Miami office. Testing can be done near you in Broward, and Dr. K stays reachable by phone and text between visits.
It depends on the plan and its medical criteria, so the answer is individual. We review pricing, the $14,000 package and Cherry financing with you at your consultation.
Both lead to substantial weight loss over the first year, and for most patients the difference in pace is modest. Dr. Keshavarzi performs both and recommends the one that suits your health history.
It is a reminder to eat slowly: small bites, chewed thoroughly, with meals stretched to about 20 minutes so you notice fullness. Our team gives you a staged diet plan for each phase after surgery.
The year after surgery matters as much as the operation. Having your sleeve in South Florida keeps your surgeon a drive away, and our package includes a full year of follow-up.
Timing depends mostly on how quickly you finish your clearances and endoscopy. Once testing is done, dates are often available within the same month.
